Find the right next step for a return, exchange, repair or refund, with clear guidance on how to contact N-Tech.
Returns & Refund Policy
01Purpose
This Returns & Refund Policy explains how N-Tech Computers (“N-Tech”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles returns, exchanges, repairs and refunds for products purchased through the N-Tech online store.
This policy must be read together with N-Tech’s Online Store Terms & Conditions. Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.
02Order Cancellation Before Dispatch
Customers should contact N-Tech as soon as possible if they wish to cancel an order before dispatch or collection.
If the order has not yet been processed or dispatched, N-Tech will assess the cancellation request and, where cancellation is accepted and payment has already been received, arrange the applicable refund.
If an order has already been dispatched, the request will be handled under the applicable return or cooling-off provisions.
03Online Cooling-Off Returns
Where a statutory cooling-off right applies to an online transaction, the customer may cancel the transaction within the period prescribed by applicable law, subject to statutory exclusions and requirements.
For qualifying electronic transactions, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act may provide a seven-day cooling-off period. The customer must notify N-Tech in writing within the applicable period.
The customer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where permitted by law.
Goods should be returned securely, with all supplied accessories, manuals, packaging and other items where reasonably possible. The customer may be liable for loss or damage beyond what is permitted by law.
04Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
If goods are defective, unsafe, damaged on arrival, materially different from the description, or the incorrect goods were supplied, the customer should contact N-Tech promptly with the order number and a description or photographs of the issue.
N-Tech may request photographs, serial numbers, videos, diagnostic information or other reasonable information to assess the issue.
Qualifying defects and returns will be handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable law.
Where the law requires N-Tech to bear return, collection or transport costs, N-Tech will do so. The customer should contact N-Tech before sending goods back.
05Manufacturer and Supplier Warranty Claims
Some products are covered by a manufacturer or supplier warranty. The duration, exclusions and claim process may differ by product.
Warranty claims may require assessment by N-Tech, a distributor, manufacturer or authorised service centre.
Customers should retain proof of purchase and the product’s serial number.
A manufacturer or supplier warranty does not replace or reduce statutory consumer rights.
06Change-of-Mind Returns
Outside any statutory cooling-off right, a change-of-mind return is not automatically guaranteed and will be considered in accordance with applicable law and any additional return arrangement expressly offered by N-Tech.
Products should be unused, undamaged and complete, with original accessories and packaging where reasonably possible.
Software, licences, opened consumables, personalised products, or products that cannot lawfully be resold may be subject to specific statutory exclusions or conditions.
07Return Procedure
1. Email N-Tech at info@n-tech.co.za with the order number, customer name, product details, reason for return and photographs where relevant.
2. Wait for return instructions or a return reference before sending the product.
3. Package the product securely and include the relevant accessories and documentation.
4. N-Tech will assess the return and communicate the available remedy, which may include repair, replacement, credit or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
08Refunds
Refunds will be processed using a reasonable method and within the period required by applicable law.
Refunds may be delayed where N-Tech is awaiting returned goods, inspection results, supplier or manufacturer assessment, or necessary banking information, provided that N-Tech complies with applicable legal deadlines.
Refunds will generally be made to the original payer or the payment account from which the EFT was received, subject to verification and applicable law.
Where a refund is not legally required, N-Tech may offer an exchange, store credit or another agreed remedy.
09Shipping and Risk
Customers must follow N-Tech’s return instructions and package products safely.
Where the customer is legally responsible for return shipping, the customer must arrange and pay for that shipping.
N-Tech is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging when the customer arranged the return, subject to applicable law.
