Description
The Xiaomi Window and Door Sensor 2 is a compact smart home sensor designed to monitor whether doors, windows and other opening surfaces are open or closed. Its magnetic induction sensor detects changes in the opening state and, when connected to a compatible Bluetooth gateway, can provide remote status monitoring and smartphone notifications through the Xiaomi Home app.
An integrated light sensor adds additional automation possibilities by detecting ambient lighting conditions. For example, the sensor can trigger compatible smart lighting scenes when it detects that an area has become dark.
The sensor supports event history, synchronised smartphone notifications and left-open alerts, allowing you to monitor unexpected openings or doors and windows that have remained open for a set period. Bluetooth 5.1 BLE connectivity and a pre-installed CR2032 battery provide efficient wireless operation, while the compact adhesive-mounted design makes installation simple.
